Biographical note
Bryn Phillips completed his schooling in the Midlands of Natal (Now Kwa Zulu Natal) in South Africa. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Natal, majoring in Accounting, Economics, Management Accounting and Data Processing. He started working in the Hospitality and Gaming Industry as an Internal Auditor, but quickly moved into the world of IT Management. There were a few short breaks from Hospitality and pure IT while he worked in the Power Utilities industry, and also spent some time as an IT Auditor back in the Hospitality Industry. Bryn has presented at numerous conferences and seminars across the globe, on topics including Governance, Risk, Compliance, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Service Management, Security, and many others. These have been with both an IT and General Business focus. Bryn lives with his family and a large menagerie of assorted creatures on an Agricultural Smallholding in Johannesburg, South Africa.
