The Underworld awaits . . .
Deina is trapped. As one of the Soul Severers serving the god Hades on earth, her future is tied to the task of shepherding the dying on from the mortal world - unless she can earn or steal enough to buy her way out.
Then the tyrant ruler Orpheus offers both fortune and freedom to whoever can retrieve his dead wife, Eurydice, from the Underworld. Deina jumps at the chance. But to win, she must enter an uneasy alliance with a group of fellow Severers she neither likes nor trusts.
So begins their perilous journey into the realm of Hades. . . The prize of freedom is before her - but what will it take to reach it?

A beautiful, breathtaking adventure through the world of Ancient Greece and the Greek myths. Daughter of Darkness puts a twisty, surprising spin on the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice, with plenty of heartache and betrayal, and a trickster heroine who had me rooting for her from the very first line. Now . . . when can I read the next one?!

Biographical note:
Since the publication of their first novel in 2016, sisters Katharine and Elizabeth Corr have gone on to co-write another six fantasy novels, encompassing contemporary witchcraft, fairy tale retellings, high fantasy, and Greek mythology. They are the authors of the duologies The House of Shadows and A Throne of Swans and the trilogy The Witch''s Kiss. They both live with their families in Surrey, England, and are very grateful for cloud-based technology; if they had to physically write in the same room, it would definitely end badly.
