Infraleichtbeton ist ein Beton mit sehr geringer Rohdichte, der sowohl die tragende als auch die wärmedämmende Funktion der Gebäudehülle in einem monolithischen Material vereint. Sichtbetonbauten aus Infraleichtbeton können im Hinblick auf die Nachhaltigkeitsdiskussion, den Klimawandel und die Energiewende alternative Lösungsansätze bieten und darüber hinaus mit ihrem gestalterischen Anspruch einen Beitrag zur Baukultur leisten. Das Buch soll als Planungshilfe und Leitfaden für die Anwendung von Infraleichtbeton in der Praxis dienen. Es basiert auf Erkenntnissen aus langjähriger Forschung sowie einem interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekt, in dem Architekten und Bauingenieure gemeinsam die architektonischen und konstruktiven Potenziale von Infraleichtbeton im Geschosswohnungsbau ausgelotet haben.
