Bizarre concept, makes a lot of sense
From Amazon
I got it for me, my wife took it.
She read it front to back, twice. She's self employed. Swears by the principles in it. I scanned it, got a few earfulls at home. I have cut my work week from 5 days to 4, business is up 20% as I have trained my staff to do more - which they like - and take more responsibility.
On my "day off" I go to the bank, review reports, work ON the business, and kill about 4 hours just for 'me'.
We forget that self-employment should not be a burden, but actually a luxury for the ambitious. This book is helping us realize our dreams.
Brilliant, Simply Brilliant!

Tim Ferriss's book is simply brilliant. It is shocking to see several of the negative reviews of this book. Obviously, Tim has struck a chord with these people and this is a sign of a great book.
The book is about the best value that you can get for under $20. I have read hundreds of business books and psychology and this is towards the top.
Thank you Tim!

Donald Trump in the Making!
From Amazon
This book is going to be hard to swallow for all those hands-on control freaks out there (guilty as charged) who can't stand the thought of delegating responsibility to others for work they'd rather do themselves. However, 27 year old Ferris has a good point, and he's out there on a yacht while his underlings answer his emails at $10/hr. A Donald Trump in the making!

Some good ideas, but not great
From Amazon
I would say that I took away a couple of things from this book. It basically put some ideas I already had into perspective and helped solidify others. However I certainly wouldn't take it all to heart. Some suggestions made my this book basically make you that prick you work with now who you would really hate to become. His philosophies are also not nearly as universal as he would lead you to believe. Not everyone is in a position to become the "New Rich", a term which I think would set me on a kill rampage if I actually hear it coming out of someones mouth. This is a get rich quick guide, and I think most of us know how great the track record is for those.
This book is awesome!

This book helped me to identify where I really want to be and how I was actually spending my time. It helped me to look at what I have always thought were things I had to have to be in business; cell phone, email, instantly jumping to take care of a customer. What I noticed was that as soon as I started increasing my personal time, my business actually was more prosperous. I am in the process of putting systems in place so that I can remove myself from my day to day business operation, so that I have time to really enjoy life at 47. Why should I (or anyone else for that matter) wait until I am too old and feeble to travel and do all those things I really want to do.
I know that I attracted this book as an answer to removing myself from the 7 day work week that I have so long been a part of.
If you are looking for a book to help you live the life you always wanted, NOW! - then this is the book you were searching for. What a way to challenge everything you thought you "had" to do.
I tell everyone I can about this book.
This book will make you laugh and inspire you to action. What is keeping YOU from having the life you desire NOW? Read this book.
