Green Lebanon The Book by Lara Hanna Debs and Pascale Choueiri
If you’re a nature buff this book is the buy for you.  Green Lebanon showcases what is left of Lebanon’s forest: 13% of the total area of 10452km2.  Through extensive photography this book tries to document a representative selection of forest species. It is the second step of an initiative by its authors to raise awareness on the importance of preserving the Lebanese greens, the first step of which was creating a line of jewellery “that succeeded in raising 62.000 USD. This amount was used to restore 6000 pine and olive trees across Lebanon's North, South, and Mount Lebanon. All returns from Green Lebanon The Book will be donated to the Association for Forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC) for the purpose of reforesting what forest fires have burned down.”
